At Gilgandra Preschool, children are not excluded from any component of the program as we see it as our obligation to adapt what is being provided so that all children are able to participate fully in all opportunities where children wish to do so. 

Inclusion goes beyond the children through the provisions we have in place for staff, families, and the community to be active participants within the service.

The way we ensure inclusivity is embedded within Gilgandra Preschool include:

• Having well-resourced and knowledgeable staff through upskilling them with a range of professional development opportunities.
• The implementation of our Early Intervention Readiness for school programs.
• Reflective discussions between staff, professionals, families and children so we can always evaluate needs.
• Having a range of resources to assist children to participate in the program.
• Implementing the Tuning Into Kids Program (emotional coaching).
• Children's voice contributes to the program.
• Range of furniture within the environment.
• Individual Learning Plans for higher support needs worked on in collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Use of Keyword sign and visuals throughout the environment.
• Supports in place for children through holistic communication.
